Anonymous asked: Me and my girlfriend have sex alot, should we use more than condoms to prevent her from getting pregnant?
If you are using condoms correctly and consistently every single time you have sex, your chances of pregnancy are lessened significantly. Unfortunately, the truth is that many condom users are NOT using condoms accurately. For instance, are you remembering to squeeze a drop or two of lube in the tip of the condom before putting it on? Even if it’s a pre-lubricated condom, this is one of the necessary steps to accurately applying a condom. Are you remembering to make sure that there is enough room at the tip of the condom so that “high-speed” ejaculation does not break through the condom? Are you making sure there are no air bubbles?
If you’re not confident in your ability to put on the condom 100% accurately, you may want to consider an additional means of contraceptive. Of course, every contraceptive has its pros and cons and it’s important for you and your girlfriend to consider what methods are best for both of you.
